Las Palmas layover – Heippa! Eilen illalla kotiuduin Las Palmasin reissulta. Se oli siis yhden yön pikavisiitti, kiva sellainen. Menolento oli tosi rauhallinen, koska nämä alkaa olla viimeisiä Kanarian lentoja ennen kuin ne jää kesätauolle. Paluu olikin sitten umpitäysi ja aikamoisen kiireinen!

Edellisessä postauksessa mainitsinkin, että lähtö oli tosi aikainen ja herätys koitti lauantaiaamuna kello 02:50. Huhhuh! Onneksi menolento oli siis aika rauhallinen… 🙂 Koska lähdettiin niin aikaisin, oltiin tietysti aikaisin perilläkin. Las Palmasissa oli ihana ilma, ei liian kuuma, mutta aurinkoinen kuitenkin. Hotellihuoneessa on ihanan iso parveke, siellä istuskelin parinkin otteeseen. Eka parvekekuva oli mun aamupala-situation lähtöpäivänä, mutta jouduin pian toteamaan, että vähän liian viileä oli vielä ja hipsin takaisin sisälle. Piti kokeilla kuitenkin!

Mun layoverin suurin ohjelmanumero oli mennä Mercadonaan shoppaileen! En tiiä oonko ainoa, mutta rakastan käydä marketeissa eri maissa ja katsella, mitä paikalliset ihmiset ostaa ja minkälaisia tuotteita siellä on tarjolla. Espanja on tietysti asia erikseen, kun katselen tuotteita ja muistelen, että “Tuota silloin aina Madridissa asuessa ostin…” ja niin edelleen. Tein muutamia hyviä ostoksia ja niitä ajattelin esitellä toisessa postauksessa.

Nyt teen pikaisen kuntopiirin kotona ja sitten aletaan kattoon Awsin kans leffaa ja syömään karkkia. Meillä kun meni yhteinen viikonloppu ohi, niin pidetään se näin maanantai-iltana. Onneksi huomenna on molemmilla vapaapäivä. Kivaa illanjatkoa! 🙂

Las Palmas layover – Hello! Yesterday evening I came back home from Las Palmas. It was a quick one night layover, but a nice one anyway. The flight there was really quiet, because these are the last flights there before the summer break. The return flight then was completely full and very busy!

I mentioned in the last post that the departure from Helsinki was very early and my wake-up time was 02:50 am. Therefore it was very nice to have a quiet flight there… 🙂 Because we left so early, we also arrived early to Las Palmas. The weather there was super nice, sunny but not too hot! The hotel room has a nice big balcony and there I sat a couple of times. The first balcony picture is my breakfast situation from the morning before leaving to the airport, but I quickly had to admit that it was still a little bit too cold and went back in to finish my breakfast. Well, I tried!

The most important activity on my layover was to go shopping to Mercadona! I don’t know if it is only me, but I love to go to the supermarkets in different countries and see what the locals are buying and what kind of products there are. Spain, of course, is a special case, because I go around looking and remembering like “This thing I always used to buy when I lived in Madrid…” and so on. I did some nice shopping and I’m going to show the stuff on another post.

Now I’ll do a quick workout and then we will start watching a movie with Aws and eat candy. We missed the weekend together, so we will have it now on a Monday night instead. Luckily we both have a day off tomorrow. Have a nice evening! 🙂

Hei! Madrid-teemalla vielä jatkuu! Aika iso osa matkasta kulutettiin fanittamiseen. Aws on nimittäin älyttömän kova Real Madrid-fani, joten käytiin Santiago Bernabéu -stadionkierroksella ja toisena päivänä käytiin vielä kattoon peli. Itse en oo niin kiinnostunut jalkapallosta, mutta kai sitä Madridissa asuneena kuuluu ainakin kerran elämässään käydä Realin pelissä 😀 Ja hieno kokemus se oli!

Hello! Still going on with the Madrid theme! Aws is a big Real Madrid fan, so on the first day we went to a tour in the Santiago Bernabéu stadium and we also went to see a game on another day. I’m not such a big fan of foot ball, but as a former Madrid resident, I guess I’m supposed to see at least one Real Madrid game 😀 It was a really cool experience!

Sopivasti ennen matkaa katsottiin loppuun La Casa de Papel-sarja, joka on aika uusi, huippusuosittu espanjalainen sarja. Suosittelen ehdottomasti, ihan 10/10. Musta on myös aivan ihanaa katsoa sarjaa tai elokuvaa, jossa puhutaan espanjaa! Tietysti sitten sarjan ankarina faneina haluttiin mennä kattomaan paikka, jossa sarjaa on kuvattu. Sarja kertoo rikollisryhmästä, joka suunnittelee suurta ryöstöä rahanpainotehtaaseen, joka sijaitsee Madridin keskustassa. Googlattiin paikka ja käveltiin ekana päivänä sinne. Paikan päällä huomattiinkin, että ainakaan sarjan ulkoilmakohtauksia ei oo kuvattu samassa paikassa. Googlattiin lisää ja löydettiin maininta toisesta paikasta. Seuraavana päivänä mentiin ensimmäiseksi sinne! Kunnes huomattiin, että sekään ei ollu oikea paikka. Taas googletusta ja löydettiin kolmas paikka. Hypättiin metroon ja ajettiin sinne. Vihdoin löydettiin oikea rakennus! Päivä sattui kuitenkin olemaan lauantai, joten kaikki portit rakennuksen ympärillä oli kiinni ja nähtiin rakennus vaan kaukaa. No, neljäs kerta toden sanoo. Maanantaina ajeltiin samaan paikkaan uudelleen ja sillä kertaa päästiin sitten ihan lähietäisyydelle 😀

Just in time before the trip we finished watching the series La Casa de Papel, which is a quite new Spanish show. I highly recommend, absolutely a 10/10. I also love to watch movies or series where they speak Spanish! Of course, as big fans, we wanted to see the place where they filmed the episodes. The story is about a group of criminals who plan to rob the place where money is printed, right in the center of Madrid. We googled the place and walked there on our first day. When we got there, we noticed that at least the outdoors parts of the show are not filmed in the same place. We googled more and found another place mentioned. The next day we went there, and again we realized it was not the right place. Google again and then we found a third place. We jumped to a metro and drove there. Finally we found the right place! The day happened to be a Saturday, so all the gates around the building were closed and we could only see it from far. Well, one more try. On Monday we took the metro there again and finally we got to see the place for real! 😀

Ei siitä pääse mihinkään, että Madridilla on edelleen aivan erityinen paikka mun sydämessä ja muuttaisin ihan samantien sinne, jos työt järjestyisi. Tietysti Suomessakin on hyvä asua ja monet asiat on täällä paljon paremmin, mutta silti palaisin mielelläni Madridiin. Mulla on jo jonkin aikaa ollut ilmoitusvahti asunnonvälityssivulla, joka päivittäin ilmoittelee mulle uusista vapaista asunnoista Madridissa. Ihan vaan mielenkiinnosta. Saapa nähdä…

I can’t help it, that Madrid still has a very special place in my heart and I would move there in an instant if I could figure out the work stuff. Of course living in Finland is good and many things are so much better here, but I would still like to return to Madrid. For a while now I’ve had this apartment tracking thing on, that notifies me every day of new apartments in Madrid. Just out of interest. Let’s see…

Hola! Madrid-juttua nyt 🙂 Oltiin siis pienellä 4 päivän lomalla Madridissa. Aws vieraili Madridissa ja Espanjassa ekaa kertaa ja minä olin tietysti innoissani esittelemässä kaikkea mahdollista. Reissun aikana Aws-rukka sai kuulla varmaan sata kertaa lauseita “Tällä kadulla mää aina…”, “Tästä kävelin aina töihin…”, “Tuossa kaupassa…”, “Täällä tein aina ruokaostokset”, “Tuossa talossa asuin” ja niin edelleen. Enimmäkseen vaan käppäiltiin ympäriinsä ja pysähdyttiin tasaisin väliajoin syömään tai kahville. Aws tykkäs Madridista ja sanoi, että se on tosi samantyyppinen kaupunki kuin Istanbul. Siellä oliskin kiva käydä! Aws sanoi myös löytävänsä espanjalaisesta ja arabialaisesta kulttuurista paljon samaa, mikä ei ole kauhean yllättävää jos miettii maan historiaa.

Yövyttiin hostellissa Gran Vían ja calle Monteran kulmassa, mikä on ihan optimaalinen sijainti tällaiselle kaupunkilomalle. Keskellä kaupunkia ja metropysäkki oven edessä. Viime kesän reissulla vietin pari yötä samassa paikassa, joten nyt ei sitten tarvinnut etsiskellä hyvää hostellia. Tässä kaikki tältä erää, jatkan Madrid-juttua seuraavassa postauksessa! Kivaa viikonloppua! 🙂

Hola! Madrid-stuff now 🙂 So we were on a little 4 days holiday in Madrid. It was the first time for Aws in Madrid and Spain and obviously I was super exited to show him everything in the city. During the trip poor Aws must have heard a hundred times a sentence like “On this street I always…”, “Here I always walked to work…”, “In that shop…”, “Here I always did my groceries”, “I lived in that building” and so on. Mostly we just walked around and stopped often to eat or to have coffee. Aws loved Madrid as well and he said the city seems a lot like Istanbul. I would like to visit it! Aws also said he finds a lot of similarities in the Spanish and Arabic cultures. That is no surprise if you think about the history of the country.

We stayed in a hostel in the corner of Gran Vía and calle Montera, which is an optimal location for a city holiday. In the middle of the city and a metro stop right in front of the hostel. On my trip last summer I stayed in the same hostel, so this time we didn’t need to look for a good hostel. That is all for now, I’ll continue with more Madrid-stuff on the next post! Madrid otra vez. Heippa! Pitkästä aikaa 🙂 Tultiin eilen takas kotiin, oltiin pienellä lomalla Madridissa. Meidän eka yhteinen varsinainen lomamatka! Jos seuraatte mun Instagramia, ootte varmaan nähny, mitä ollaan Madridissa puuhailtu. Ajattelin kuitenkin tehdä vielä postauksen tai pari blogiinkin. Aloin laittaan kuvia kameralta ja puhelimelta koneelle ja kovolle ja siinä menikin sitten tovi! En ollut pitkään aikaan tallentanut puhelimen kuvia kovolle, joten niiden setvimisessä meni niin pitkä aika, että jätän varsinaisen matkapostauksen teon huomiselle. Kivaa iltaa ja palataan huomenna asiaan! 🙂

Hello! It’s been a while 🙂 Yesterday we came back home from our little Madrid trip. Our first real holiday trip together! If you follow me on Instagram, you have probably seen what we have been up to there. I thought I could make one or two posts of that trip anyway. I started to put my photos to a hard drive from my camera and my phone and that took quite a long time! I hadn’t done that in a long time so all the organizing took so long that I decided to write the actual post tomorrow. Have a great evening and let’s continue tomorrow! 🙂

annimarian vlog 15Vlog 15 – Hejsan! Uutta vlogia pukkaa pitkästä aikaa! Mun lempparikaupungista tällä kertaa. Kauhea kuume tuli taas lähtä Madridiin kun tätä videota editoin ja kattelin… Videon voi katsoa täällä.

Tuleeko muuten mieleen jotain kommentoitavaa vlogeista? Mikä on turhaa tai mitä sais olla enemmän? Työmatkoilla on tietysti aika rajalliset mahdollisuudet kuvata ihan aikataulunkin takia ja varsinaisesti työhön liittyviä juttuja en halua (enkä varmaan saisikaan) kuvata. Jos tulee mieleen mitään parannusehdotuksia niin antaa kuulua! 🙂
