annimarian Midsummer through my phoneMidsummer through my phone – Heippa! Paluu arkeen ja töihin koitti tänään, mulla oli lento Budapestiin. Postauksen kuvat on puhelimella napsittuja kuvia juhannukselta! Oltiin siis mökillä perinteiseen tapaan. Sää oli aika kylmä, mutta ei satanut, joten en valita! Lauantaina päivällä oli jopa hetki aurinkoista. Just ennen juhannusta palasin New Yorkista ja mun flunssa vähän innostui uudelleen siinä paluussa. Liekö leparilla sitten ollut vähän kylmä vai mitä, mutta levon jälkeen kun palasin töihin oli kurkkukipu taas palannut. Juhannuskin meni sitten vähän vaihtelevassa olotilassa, mutta eipä tullut ainakaan juhlittua liian ankarasti.

Juhannuksen ohjelmaan kuului, yllätys yllätys, hyvää ruokaa ja juomaa hyvässä seurassa. Juhannussauna ja perinteinen juhannuspäivän karaoke piti flunssaisen olon takia skipata. Meidän suvun juhannuksesta ei kyllä omaperäisiä ohjelmanumeroita puutu! Viimeinen kuva antakoon vähän suuntaa… Ehkä siksi aika meneekin aina niin äkkiä! Huomenna lennän Brysseliin. Kivaa viikkoa!

Midsummer through my phone – Hello! Back to reality after Midsummer. Today I flew to Budapest and back. The pictures in this post are from my phone taken over the Midsummer weekend. We were traditionally at the summer house. The weather was quite cold, but since it didn’t rain I don’t complain! On Saturday it was sunny for a moment. Right before Midsummer I came home from New York and I think my flu didn’t like the flight. Maybe it was a little cold in the crew rest area, because after the rest my throat was sore again. During the weekend the flu was kind of on-off all the time, so I took the celebrations quite easy.

The Midsummer was focused on food and drinks in good company, as always. I had to skip the Midsummer sauna and the traditional Midsummer day karaoke because of my flu though. The Midsummer with family and relatives is always full of fun (and maybe weird) activities! The last picture can give a little hint… Maybe that’s why the time always flies. Tomorrow I will fly to Brussels. Have a nice week!

Midsummer

annimarian MidsummerMidsummer – Heippa! Täällä valmistaudutaan jo kovaa vauhtia juhannukseen! Yks juhannuksen parhaista antimista näkyy kuvassa eli juhannusjuusto. Niiiiiin hyvää! Ollan nyt täällä mun vanhempien luona ja myöhemmin tänään siirtytään mökille. Mökillä on menossa pikku remontti, joka on vielä kesken. Saa nähä kuinka valmiiksi se saadaan ennen iltaa 😀

Kävin eilen illalla vähän penkoon varastossa ja löysin taas ihanat farkut. Vähän pitää fiksata niin tulee täydelliset. Nykistä ei löytyny sopivia, mutta vanhempien varasto pelastaa! Äiti on joskus ostanut kasoittain Leviksiä ja muita farkkuja kirppareilta käsitöitä varten ja siellä seassa on aikamoisia helmiä!

Nyt lähen tekemään vähän kuntopiiriä ennen juhannusjuhlintaa. En varmaan kauheasti päivittele blogia tässä pariin päivään, mutta Insta storyyn tulee varmaan juttua. Kivaa juhannusta!

Midsummer – Hello! Here we are getting ready for the Midsummer! One of the best things about Midsummer is seen above, the “Midsummer cheese”. For those of you who don’t know, it is made by boiling fresh full fat milk for hours with a few drops of this liquid that makes the milk to turn into cheese. It is soooooo good. Now we are here at my parents’ place and later we will go to the summer house. The is some renovations still going on at the summer house, so we’ll see if we can get them ready before the night 😀

Last night I went to the warehouse to look for some jeans and I found a lovely pair again! Just a little bit of fixing and they are perfect. I didn’t find jeans in New York, but my parents’ warehouse saves the situation. My mom has bought piles of Levi’s and other jeans from second hand stores for handicrafts and among those jeans there are some amazing ones!

Now I’ll go and do some sports before the Midsummer celebrations. I might not be updating the blog too much for a couple of days, but some stuff will be on Insta story anyway. Have a great Midsummer!

annimarian Koirien uimaranta HerttoniemessäKoirien uimaranta Herttoniemessä – Heippa! Eilen kun oli kerrankin lämmin päivä, käytettiin Tyyneä uimassa. Aws oli nähny netissä, että Herttoniemessä on koirille tarkoitettu uimaranta, joten mehän mentiin heti tarkistaan se! Koirien uimaranta on siinä Herttoniemen varsinaisen uimarannan vieressä pyörätien varrella. Toisella puolella on koirapuisto ja rannan puolella aidattu alue koirille. Kiva ja siisti ranta!

Plussaa myös siitä, että koirien uimaranta on siinä ihan ihmisten ilmoilla eikä missään syrjässä. Musta on vähän hassua, ettei koiria saa tuoda juuri millekään uimarannoille. Koirat kun ei juuri koskaan tee asioitaan veteen ja muutenkin se on aina omistajan vastuulla, ettei koira häiritse muita. No joo, nää on näitä ikuisuuskysymyksiä. Kivaa viikonloppua!

Koirien uimaranta Herttoniemessä – Hello! Yesterday when it was finally warm here, we took Tyyne to swim. Aws saw somewhere in the internet that there is a dog beach in Herttoniemi, so we went to check it out! The dog beach is by the bike road just beside the normal beach. There is also a dog park on the other side of the road and a nice fenced area on the beach for the dogs. Very clean and nice beach!

It’s also a big plus that the dog beach is so close to the normal beach and not in some remote place like they often are. I think it is a little bit funny that dogs are not allowed on the normal beaches. The dogs very rarely pee in the water anyway and it is always the owners responsibility to make sure the dog doesn’t bother anyone. Well, that’s how the things are, unfortunately. Kaivopuisto Air show – Hejsan! Käytiin Awsin kanssa kattomassa lentonäytöstä Kaivopuistossa viime viikolla. Sattui oikein ihana sääkin sille päivälle, tuntui ihan kesältä. Show oli mahtava! Oltiin kattomassa vaan loppupään hävittäjiä ja olin ihan haltioissani koko ajan. Enpä oo ennen nähnyt hävittäjiä noin läheltä, saatika mitään taitolentämistä. Otin kyllä kuviakin itse hävittäjistä, mutta eihän ne kuvat kerro oikein mitään. Kuvista ei näe hävittäjien vauhtia eikä kuule niitä ääniä. Tuntui, että koko rintakehä tärisee, kun ne hävittäjät kurvasi oikein läheltä! Aws ei ollut yhtä haltioissaan, kuin minä. Hävittäjien näkeminen – ihan tositoimissa – on valitettavan tuttua Awsille.

Samalla kun käveltiin Kaivopuistoon ja takas, ihasteltiin Ullanlinnan ja Kaivopuiston rakennuksia. Siellä on kyllä niin kaunista ja ne vanhat talot on upeita! Pitäis mennä sinne ihan vaan kävelylle joku päivä. Tänään mulla oli vapaapäivä ja huomenna odottaa aikainen aamu ja lyhyt Oslon keikka. Kivaa viikon alkua!

Kaivopuisto Air show – Hello! Me and Aws went to see the air show in Kaivopuisto last week. The weather happened to be so nice that day, it felt like summer. The show was great! We only saw the war aircrafts in the end of the show and I was blown away the whole time. I have never seen war aircrafts so close, let alone some stunt flying. I took some pictures too, but you can’t see the speed from the pictures or hear the sounds. I felt like my whole rib cage was trembling when they flew close! Aws was not as excited as I was, since unfortunately he is familiar with seeing the war aircrafts in real action before.

When we were walking to Kaivopuisto, we were also admiring the Ullanlinna and Kaivopuisto areas. It is so pretty there and the old building are just so beautiful! We should just go there for a walk some day. Today I had a day off and tomorrow I have an early morning and a short trip to Oslo! Have a nice beginning of the week!

Oulu again – Heippa! Tänään lennettiin Kööpenhaminan kautta illaksi Ouluun. Ja täällä paistaa aurinko! Ihanaa! Just tulin hotellille ja vaihdan vaan vaatteet ja lähden kaupungille. Vähän myöhemmin nään kaveria ja sitten ajoissa hotellille, että pääsee aikaisin nukkuun. Huomenna on taas aikainen aamu ja pitkä päivä edessä.

Mulla on nyt tosiaan tämmönen aamuputki meneillään. Aikaiset aamut on ihan kivoja, niin ehtii illallakin tehdä enemmän. Se ajoissa nukkumaan meneminen tuntuu vaan olevan aika haasteellista… Keksisin aina vaikka kuin paljon tekemistä just sillon ku pitäs mennä nukkuun! Tänään yritän tosissani mennä ajoissa 😀

Oulu again – Hello! Today we flew to Copenhagen and then to Oulu for the night. And it is sunny in here! So nice! I just got to the hotel and I will just change my clothes and go to the center. Later I will meet with my friend. Then I have to come back to the hotel and go to sleep earlt, because I have an early morning tomorrow and a long day ahead.

I have a few mornings in a row now. The early mornings are quite ok, it is nice to have more time in the evenings to do other things. But going to bed early seems to be the struggle for me. I always come up with millions of things I could do when it is time to go to bed. Today I will try hard 😀
