Kuka muu tunnustaa? Rajauksien laittaminen on toisinaan aika upporikasta tai rutiköyhää. Rajauksista tulee joko tosi hyvät, tosi huonot ja ei ainakaan keskenään samanlaiset. Aikaisemmin en edes aloittanut laittamaan rajauksia, jos ei ollut reilusti aikaa. Kiireessä se ei nimittäin ainakaan onnistunut. Mun edellinen eye liner alkoi lähestyä loppuaan ja aloin katteleen uutta. Halusin nimenomaan jonkun sellaisen, mitä olis tosi helppo käyttää ja mulle tuli mieleen kiinteä rajausväri.

Who else can confess, putting on eyeliner can sometimes be quite tricky. The liner will be either super cool or horrible and never equal in both eyes. Before I wouldn’t even start with the eyeliner if I didn’t have a lot of time, because you are doomed to fail if you try to hurry. My previous eyeliner was finishing soon, so I started to look for a new one. I specifically wanted something easy to use and I came up with a solid liner.

Googlettelin aikani ja päädyin tähän Make Up Store cake eyeliner rajausväriin. Se on siis täysin kuiva väri, jota levitetään kostealla siveltimellä. Tosi monilla merkeillä oli tarjolla geelimäisiä värejä pienessä purkissa, mutta monet käyttäjät kommentoi geelimäisten värien kuivahtavan helposti käyttökelvottomiksi. Tämän kanssa ei siis ole sitä vaaraa, koska se on jo valmiiksi täysin kuiva!

I googled for a while and ended up getting this Make Up Store cake eyeliner. It is completely dry, solid eye liner that is applied with a wet brush. Many brands had gel liners in little containers, but I read a lot of comments that these liners easily dry out and become unusable. There is no such risk with this, because it is already completely dry!

Ostin samalla tuollaisen ohuen siveltimen, koska sellaista mulla ei ollut. Ostin rajausvärin Oulun Sokokselta yhdellä työreissulla ja heti hotellille päästyä aloin testaamaan. Koin melkoisen ahaa-elämyksen. Rajausvärin laittaminen ei ole lainkaan hankalaa, kun on sopiva sivellin ja väri! Mun aikaisemmat eye linerit oli aina sellaisia “tavallisia”, missä on se pieni pullo väriä ja sivellin mukana. Tuo uusi sivellin on ehkä kolme kertaa kapeampi kuin mun edellisen rajausvärin sivellin. Aikaisemmin värin levittämisen hankaluus johtui siis siitä, että väriä tuli kerralla ihan liikaa paksulla siveltimellä, joten levittämisen joutui tekemään äärimmäisen varovasti. Tällä uudella värillä ja siveltimellä on ihan älyttömän helppo ja nopea tehdä ohut tai paksu rajaus. Seuraavana aamuyönä tekaisin rajaukset ihan hetkessä ennen kello viiden pick-upia!

Oon todella tyytyväinen tähän ostokseen, toivottavasti tässä oli hyvä vinkki jollekin muullekin 🙂

At the same time I also bought that thin brush, because I didn’t have such brush. I bought these products from Sokos in Oulu on one of my layovers there and I started testing the eyeliner as soon as I got to the hotel. I was so surprised, in a positive way. It is not difficult at all to apply eyeliner when you have the right brush and a good color. All my previous eyeliners where the “normal” type, those with the little bottle and the brush in it. This new brush I bought is maybe three times thinner than the previous one I had. So the difficulty came with the too thick brush that brought too much color with it, so you had to do the applying super carefully. With this new color and brush it is extremely easy and quick to do a thin or a thick line. The next morning I applied my eyeliner super quickly before my 5 am pick-up!

I am very satisfied with this purchase and I hope it is a good tip to someone else too 🙂

Hei! Ajattelin näyttää yhden uuden kosmetiikkatuotteen, jonka ostin edelliseltä New Yorkin reissulta. Olin törmännyt internetin ihmeellisessä maailmassa useampaan otteeseen kyseiseen voiteeseen, joten päätin kokeilla sitä myös itse. Kyseessä on siis Clarinsin UV Plus -voide, jossa on aurinkosuoja (50) ja joka lupaa suojata ihoa myös ilmansaasteilta. Oon entistä vakuuttuneempi siitä, että varsinkin kasvojen herkkä iho pysyy parempana, kun muistaa suojautua hyvin auringolta. Oon aikaisemminkin esitellyt käyttämiäni aurinkotuotteita ja tämä on nyt sitten uusin lisäys tuohon tuoteperheeseen.

Löysin tämän Clarinsin voiteen aika hyvään hintaan JFK:n lentokentältä. Kosmetiikkakaupan myyjä kysyi multa, että mistä oon kotoisin. Vitsailin sitten myyjälle, että meillä ei Suomessa oo aurinkoa eikä ilmansaasteita, mutta ainakin voidetta voi käyttää matkoilla. Ei ymmärtänyt ollenkaan. Juttelin siinä samalla kollegoille suomeksi ja pian myyjä kysyi, että puhutaanko me ranskaa. Ei tainnut siis myyjällä olla käsitystä, missä päin maailmaa Suomi sijaitsee tai miltä ranskan kieli kuulostaa 😀

Hello! I thought I could show this newest cosmetic product that I bought from my last New York trip. I had seen it a couple of times somewhere in the internet, so I decided to try it myself too. It is the Clarins UV Plus with SPF 50 and it promises to protect the skin from pollution as well. I am more and more convinced that the skin will stay better if it is well protected from the sun. I have showed my sun products before and this is the newest addition to that family.

I found this Clarins cream in the JFK airport with a good price. The salesperson at the cosmetics store asked me where I’m from. Then I said to her, half joking, that in Finland we don’t have sun or pollution, but I can use this cream when traveling. She didn’t understand the joke. I was chatting with my colleagues in Finnish at the same time, and soon the sales person asked, if we were speaking in French. I guess she had no idea where Finland is or how French sounds like 😀

Daily skin care – Heippa! Eilen mainitsin, että mulla on uusia suosikkeja ihonhoitotuotteissa ja tässä ne nyt on! Oon moneen kertaan maininnut, että oon jo pitkään pyrkinyt siirtymään kosmetiikassa mahdollisimman luonnonmukaisiin ja mielellään kotimaisiin tuotteisiin. Tuote kerrallaan oon siis päivitellyt käyttämääni kosmetiikkaa. Osa noistakin tuotteista on ollut jo pitkään käytössä, osa taas on uudempia tuttavuuksia.

Daily skin care – Hello! Yesterday I mentioned that I have some new favorites when it comes to daily cosmetics and here they are now! I have told many times that for a while already I have tried to move towards more natural and preferably Finnish products with my cosmetics. One by one I have updated the products I use. Some of these products I have used for a while already and some of them are new favorites.

Ekassa kuvassa on puhdistustuotteet, joita käytän joka ilta meikin poistoon. Favoran puhdistusvaahdolla ja vanulapulla poistan kasvojen meikin ja tuolla Lumenen aineella silmämeikin. Käyn aina ensin suihkussa, jolloin suurin osa meikistä lähtee jo siinä. Ripsivärinkin valitsen sen perusteella, mikä on helpoin poistaa! En voi sietää meikkiä, joka jämähtää iholle ja jota joutuisi sitten hankaamaan pois. No no!

In the first picture are the cleaning products I use every night to remove make-up. I use the Favora foam and a cotton pad to remove make-up from the face and the Lumene product to remove eye make-up. I always take a shower first so most of the make-up washes off already there. I choose my mascara based on how easy it is to remove! I can’t stand make-up that sticks to the skin and then has to be scrubbed off. No no!

Kakkoskuvassa on Nature Republicin puhdistusaine, jolla pesen kasvot sen jälkeen, kun oon poistanut meikin. Aikaisemmin en tehnyt tällaista välivaihetta, mutta nyt ehkä kuukauden päivät oon harrastanut tätä “tuplapuhdistusta” ja iho vaikuttaa kyllä kirkkaalta. Haluan siis vain varmistaa, että kaikki epäpuhtaudet lähtee iholta ennen kuin laitan kosteusvoidetta. Tuo aine on sellaista, että sitä tarvii vaan ihan minimaalisen vähän ja se vaahtoaa kuitenkin reilusti, joten tuo tuubi kestää mulla noin kaksikymmentä vuotta. Tämä on muuten ainoa päivittäisessä käytössä oleva tuote, joka ei ole kotimainen. Tuo kuvassa oleva pesusieni on ihan paras! Sen kanssa kun pesee, saa samalla kuorittua kasvot kevyesti ja vaikkapa kasvonaamioiden pois peseminen on huomattavasti helpompaa sienen avulla. Pesen kasvot sienen kanssa pari-kolme kertaa viikossa ja muuta kuorintaa ei välttämättä tarvi ollenkaan! Noita myydään melkein kaikissa pikkukaupoissakin. Annoin pakkauksen toisen sienen Awsille ja sekin tykkäs!

In the second picture is the Nature Republic cleanser that I use after removing the make-up. Before I didn’t do this, but for about a month now I have done this “double washing” and my skin feels clear. I just want to make sure I remove all dirt before applying any moisturizer. This product is super long lasting since I only need a tiny bit each time and it still makes a lot of foam. So this tube will last about twenty years with me. This is the only product I use daily that is not Finnish. The sponge in the picture is the best! When I wash my face with it, I can also scrub my face gently and for example rinsing off a face mask is much easier with a sponge. I use the sponge maybe two-three times a week and I might not need any other exfoliation at all. The sponges are sold in most of the markets, even small ones. I gave the other sponge of the package to Aws and he likes it as well!

Frantsilan Kehäkukkavoidetta oon käyttänyt kasvovoiteena jo jonkin aikaa. Suomalainen luomutuote, joka on ihana käyttää eli napakymppi. Voide on sopivan paksua, mutta ei yhtään liian rasvaista ja imeytyy ihoon ihan hetkessä. Ainakin mun kuivahkolle iholle just sopiva koostumus. Aika usein käytän voiteen lisäksi Lumenen Vitamin C-seerumia, jos iho tuntuu vielä kuivalta, tai sitten lisään voiteen päälle vielä jotakin öljyä ennen nukkumaan menoa. Arbutinin silmänympärysgeelin tilasin meidän ennakkotilausvalikoimasta. Itseasiassa tilasin samalla Arbutinin seerumin couperosa-iholle, joka olikin kuitenkin loppunut varastosta, joten sen ehkä hankin joskus myöhemmin. Detria Arbutin on myös kotimainen merkki, joka käyttää Lapin luonnon antimia tuotteissaan. Parasta!

The Frantsila Kehäkukkavoide I have used now for a while. It is a Finnish organic product that is lovely to use, so it is a jackpot. It is thick enough, but not oily at all and it absorbs to the skin in seconds. At least for my semi dry skin the consistency is perfect. Quite often I also use Lumene Vitamiv C serum on top of the cream if my skin feel dry, or I might add some oil on the skin before going to sleep. That Arbutin eye serum I ordered from our preorder selection. Actually I also ordered a serum for couperosa skin from Arbutin as well, but it was out of stock, so maybe I’ll buy it later. Detria Arbutin is also a Finnish company and it uses ingredients from the Lapland nature. Perfect!

Viimeisimpänä, muttei vähäisimpänä on Munken’s Bisalva eli mehiläisvoide. Ainakin Life-myymälöissä tuota myydään. Mehiläisvoide sopii vähän kaikkeen ihonhoitoon ja huulirasvaksi. Käytän mehiläisvoidetta kerran pari viikossa ripsiin ja silmänympärysiholle ennen nukkumaanmenoa. Varsinkin jos silmänympärysiho tuntuu herkältä meikinpoiston jälkeen, on ihana laittaa ohut kerros mehiläisvoidetta rauhoittamaan ja kosteuttamaan ihoa yöksi. Käytän tätä myös poskipäiden couperosa-iholle, jos iho tuntuu erityisen punoittavalta. Haluan ainakin uskoa, että voiteen mehiläisvaha vahvistaa ohutta ihoa! Voide sopii myös kynsinauhoille, nirhaumiin ja erityisen kuivan ihon hoitoon.

The last, but not least is the Munken’s Bisalva, a bee cream. They sell it at least in the Life stores. The cream can be used to almost any skin care and as a lip balm. I use the balm once or twice a week to my lashes and eye area before going to bed. Especially if the skin around the eyes feels irritated after make-up removal, it feels lovely to apply a thin layer of the bee balm on the skin to calm and moisturize it during the night. I also use the balm on the couperosa skin on my cheeks, if the skin feels irritated. At least I want to believe that the propolis of the balm makes the skin stronger! The balm is also very good on cuticles, scratches and treating especially dry skin.

Tältä näyttää siis minun päivittäiset ihonhoitorutiinit. Kotimaista ja mahdollisimman luonnonmukaista! Suositteko te suomalaisia tuotteita kosmetiikassa?

Clarins Glow Booster – Heippa! Tällasen jutun ostin Dubaihin mennessä koneen myynnistä. Oon hipelöinyt tuota putelia jo aikani ja miettinyt ostamista. Nyt meillä oli taas -20 % tarjous myynnistä, joten nyt sitten ostin. Tuo on siis itseruskettava tiiviste, jota sekoitetaan kasvovoiteeseen ja levitetään siten kasvoille. Vaikka lentelenkin joka kuukausi kaukolentoja, niin silti aika vähän tulee “aurinkokohteita” ja ruskettuminen jää haaveeksi. Silloinkin harvoin, kun aurinkoon pääsen, en viitsi olla auringossa yhtäkkiä kovin kauaa, ettei vaan pala. Laitankin mielelläni kasvoihin ihan kunnon aurinkosuojan ja sitten lisään väriä muila keinoin 🙂 Toivottavasti ainakin ryppyjä tulee vähemmän, puhumattakaan mistään vakavammista iho-ongelmista. Tällä nyt sitten toivottavasti saan kivaa sävyä kasvoille!

Clarins Glow Booster – Hello! I bought this thing on the way to Dubai. I have been eying this for a long time and thinking of buying it and now I finally did. We had again this -20 % offer on the inflight sales products, so I got it with a nice price. That is a self-tanning concentrate for the face, that is meant to be mixed with a moisturizer and applied that way to the face. Even if I fly long haul flights each month, I am quite rarely on any “sun destinations” so I can only dream of being tanned. Even if I get to the sun, it is quite rarely, so I can’t expose myself to the sun for a long time, because I don’t want to burn. That’s why I’d rather put on a good sunscreen on my face and then add some color some other way 🙂 Hopefully I’ll get less wrinkles, not to mention any more severe skin problems. This, hopefully, gives my face a nice glow!

Beauty shopping – Heippa! Kävin eilen Stockan Hulluilla päivillä Itäkeskuksessa. En ollu alunperin edes ajatellut meneväni, mutta olin muutenkin liikkeellä niin päätin sitten mennä käymään. Itiksen Stocka on aika pieni, joten siellä ei onneksi ollu kovin hullu meininki. Kiersin oikeastaan vaan kosmetiikkaosaston ja löysin kaikkea tarpeellista! En ostanut mitään turhaa. Shampoo ja hiuslakka alkaa olla lopussa ja hullareilla myytiin just niitä merkkejä, mitä mulla on nyt käytössä eli Organic Shopin shampoo ja Klippoteketin lakka. Ostin myös tuota Klippoteketin kuivashampoota, se menee varastoon sillä edellinen pullo on vielä aika täys. Silmämeikinpoistoaine vetelee kans viimeisiään, joten ostin kokeeksi tuota uutta Lumenen silmämeikinpoistoainetta. Aikaisemmin oon käyttänyt Nivean vastaavaa, mutta kivempi ostaa suomalaista.

Oon käyttänyt Max Factorin Masterpiece-ripsiväriä kohta kymmenen vuotta putkeen ja ostan sitä aina Hulluilta Päiviltä. Nyt halusin kuitenkin kokeilla tuota Maybellinen Colossal Volume ripsaria, koska oon kuullut sitä kehuttavan monessa yhteydessä. Tuo oli kyllä normaalihintainen tuote, mutta samapa tuo. Ostin lisäksi tuon L’Orealin kaksivaiheisen ripsarin, joka oli tarjouksessa. Mulla on ollut tuota joskus tosi kauan sitten ja haluan nyt kokeilla sitä uudelleen. Siinä on siis tuo valkoinen puoli, joka antaa ripsille pituutta ja paksuutta, ja sitten normaali ripsari toisessa päässä. En malta oottaa, että pääsen kokeileen molempia 🙂 Ootteko te käyneet Hullareilla tänä vuonna?

Beauty shopping – Hello! Yesterday I went to Stockmann Hullut Päivät (“Crazy Days”) in Itäkeskus. I wasn’t planning on going, but I was on the move so I decided to go there quickly. The Stockmann in Itis is quite small, so it wasn’t so crazy there, luckily. I only went through the cosmetics department and I bought only necessary stuff! Nothing extra. My shampoo and hair spray are almost finished and they sold the brands I use in Hullut Päivät, which are the Organic Shop shampoo and Klippoteket hair spray. I also bought the Klippoteket dry shampoo, that will go to storage for a moment since my old bottle is still quite full. Also my eye make-up remover is almost finished, so I wanted to test that Lumene one. I have been using a Nivea eye make-up remover for ages, but it is nicer to buy a Finnish product.

I have been using the Max Factor Masterpiece mascara for almost ten years in a row now and I always buy it on Hullut Päivät. This time I wanted to try something new, so I bought the Maybelline Colossal Volume mascara, I have heard good things of it from many people. It was with normal price, but whatever. I also bought that L’Oreal two step mascara, I have tried it a looong time ago and now I want to try it again. The white end gives length and volume to the lashes and the other end is a normal mascara. I can’t wait to test them both 🙂 Have you shopped at Hullut Päivät this year?
